User Manual
Voice Control
OnSong gives you the ability to see your chords, lyrics, and sheet music in a way that's always organized. But aside from that, it performs more than 200 different actions that that enable a new level of musicianship.
Using all of those features normally would require navigating an on-screen user interface. OnSong was one of the first apps to incorporate wireless foot pedals and MIDI inputs to navigate your set and perform custom actions. But now with voice control, all you need is your voice to access these features.
Voice Control lets you control OnSong in three distinct ways, all without needing complicated setups:
Actions
You can perform any of the OnSong® app's 200+ actions simply by saying the word, well two words. All of OnSong's actions are created as a noun/verb pair. That means you just have to say the action and it will perform. For instance, "Toggle Low Light" will turn the screen dark mode on and off while "Next Song" will navigate your set.
Songs
You can also recall songs just by saying the name of the song after saying the word "goto". For instance, you can load "Amazing Grace" by saying "Goto Amazing Grace". Wait a second for OnSong to know you're done talking, and it will be viewed.
Sections
If you use text-based documents, you can completely navigate the song by saying the parts of the song. Just like a Music Director or MD, OnSong listens along and changes the selected section while scrolling to that section. This is great for displaying lyrics for congregational singing.
