Versions
There's more than one way to play a song and for many musicians, this may change based on the band you play with or the season. The OnSong® app makes it easy to keep your songs organized, and you can use Attachments to import different files used to perform the song. But now, you can create different versions of those files with each carrying additional information like annotations, drawings, backing tracks, formatting, and musicality.
Using Versions is really easy. Go into the Attachments Menu from the Menubar and view the different ways your song is available. Simply tap and hold on a file to open the Context Menu and choose "Create Version". The OnSong® app will prompt you to specify a name for the version. Omitting this step will numerically number the version and show it under the file. You can then draw, annotate, format, and make changes chords such as transpose, capo, and more. All of those changes are saved directly to the version allowing you to switch back to the original at anytime.
If you are using a text-based chord chart, you will also have the option to make a copy of the text content. To do this, tap and hold on a file to open the Context Menu and choose the "Duplicate" option. Again, you will be given the opportunity to name the version or allow the OnSong® app to choose for you. You can then edit the text content of that version of the song to be different from the original as well as make changes to the version separately from the original.
