Metadata Display

This screen lets you configure the types of metadata content to display. By default, the OnSong^® app shows the artist until the title of the song. You can add additional metadata and choose the order that it appears. This list includes:

Built-In Metadata

The following tags are metadata natively supported by the OnSong^® app and are always listed.

• Artist is the commonly known performer of the song.
• Author is the person who wrote the song.
• Composer is the person who composed the music of the song.
• Lyricist is the person who wrote the lyrics of the song.
• MIDI are the commands to be sent when the song is viewed.
• Number is the number assigned to the song for lookup purposes.

Custom Metadata

If you create your own custom metadata tags, these will also appear in this list. For instance, you could specify genre or year to have OnSong organize based on those values. You can optionally show those on your songs in this screen.
